The Umeed Cancer Support Forum is a compassionate initiative started by the Oncology Group of Pune – a collective of dedicated doctors, healthcare professionals, cancer survivors, caregivers, and advocates who believe that no one should face cancer alone.
Cancer can be an overwhelming journey – but no one should have to walk it alone. Disease Buddies is a unique peer-support initiative by Umeed Cancer Support Forum, designed to connect patients and families with cancer survivors who have walked the same path before them.
This program is built on empathy, shared experience, and trust. Sometimes, the most powerful support doesn’t come from advice – it comes from knowing that someone truly understands.
The Umeed Cancer Support Forum, in collaboration with Dr. Priyal Shah and Dr. Shefali Deshpande, proudly organized an Oral Cancer Awareness & Screening and Women’s Health Awareness Camp at Lashkar Police Station, Pune.
