With the belief that awareness can save lives, a meaningful Cancer Awareness Program was held at Zapurza, sponsored by Umeed Cancer Support Forum and Ace-Ventura Tyres, and thoughtfully organized by the Jain Social Group. The program was designed to create a safe and open space where conversations around cancer could happen with sensitivity, understanding, and hope.
The aim of this program was to spread awareness, clear doubts, and encourage people to talk openly about cancer. The program focused on educating the community and reminding everyone that early awareness and support can make a big difference in saving lives.
The program included an interactive session with experts from Sassoon General Hospital and Renatus Cancer Centre, including Dr. Shefali Deshpande (Medical Oncologist), Purva Sharma (Onco-Nutritionist), and Parnavi Kherade (Psycho-Oncologist). They spoke about signs and symptoms of cancer, the importance of proper nutrition, and mental and emotional health during the cancer journey.
The screening of the awareness film Mardonwali Baat, co-sponsored by Umeed, touched many hearts and helped start honest conversations, reminding everyone that together we can face cancer with hope and courage.
